This index presents historical and modern wars and conflicts taking place in the present territory of, or relating to, Croatia. Croatia declared independence from Yugoslavia in 1991. The territory had been part of Yugoslavia since the end of World War I. Prior to the Great War, it was a part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
