This index presents historical and modern wars and conflicts taking place in the present territory of, or relating to, Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe, then known as Rhodesia up to 1979, unilaterally declared independence from the United Kingdom in 1965. The territory had been under British colonial rule beginning in 1888.
