Index of Wars and Conflicts relating to Cyprus

This index presents historical and modern wars and conflicts taking place in the present territory of, or relating to, Cyprus. Cyprus achieved independence from the United Kingdom in 1960 after years of resistance to British rule. The territory had been under British colonial rule since 1878. Cyprus was ruled by the Ottoman Empire from 1570 to 1878.
