Philippine Revolution 1986

In February 1986 massive demonstrations followed the Philippine election (February 7), in which incumbant Ferdinand Marcos attempted to falsify the results, denying the election of Corazon Aquino. Civil war was averted when Marcos resigned under armed forces and American pressure.
