Index of Wars and Conflicts relating to Tanzania

This index presents historical and modern wars and conflicts taking place in the present territory of, or relating to, Tanzania. Tanzania was founded in 1964 as the merger of the former British colonies of Tanganyika and Zanzibar. Most of the territory had been under UK colonial administration since the end of World War I, prior to which the territory of Tanganyika was part of German East Africa from the late-19th century.
