This index presents historical and modern wars and conflicts taking place in the present territory of, or relating to, Singapore. Singapore gained independence from the United Kingdom in 1963 as part of the Malaysian Federation but was ousted two years later and became independent. Some of the territory had been under British colonial rule since 1819.
