Bonus Marchers in Washington 1932

The "Bonus Marchers" -- World War I veterans demanding federal bonuses -- were attacked in Washington, DC, by regular army forces in divisional strength and with tanks, commanded by General Douglas MacArthur, as ordered by President Herbert Hoover. MacArthur dispersed the veterans and burned the squatter camps they had built.
